Who We Are
Evangel Academy Tutoring (E.A.T.) is a free community outreach of Evangel Bible Church of Berkeley (EBCB). The purpose of E.A.T. is to provide tutoring, guidance, and positive role models for children in the East Bay area. E.A.T. tutors are UC Berkeley students or alumni who are qualified to tutor various subjects and who have high moral and ethical values that set good examples for the students. All tutoring takes place at EBCB, located in North Berkeley.Who We Tutor
E.A.T. is geared towards Junior High and High School students (grades 6-12), but may make exceptions to tutor students grades K-5. E.A.T. provides tutoring for most academic subjects. SAT tutoring may be available depending on tutor availability: please inquire for more details.How We Tutor
Tutoring can be one-on-one or in groups. All tutoring takes place at EBCB, located in North Berkeley, and rides may be available. We place a high value for people's education and are committed to keeping the tutoring program free to any students who need help with academics. The resources, the building, the materials, and the tutors are all voluntarily given. We ask only for the commitment of the student and his or her parent(s) to work with us on achieving success. We are committed to students' progress and conduct systematic evaluations throughout the year. We aim to be a trustworthy tutoring program that will help students reach their full potential.Questions?
